Cisco® discontinues SFP-10G-ZR and SFP-10G-ZR-S fibre optic transceivers

Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco SFP-10G-ZR and
SFP-10G-ZR-S. The last day to order the affected product(s) is June 10, 2026.

These fibre optic transceivers support 10GBase-ZR technology with a range of up to 80km over SMF. They use a wavelength of 1550nm via an LC Duplex connector and operate within a commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.

Customers can purchase remanufactured units available in limited supply for sale in certain countries on a first-come, first-served basis until the last date of support has been reached. To avoid costly optimisation or infrastructure redesigns, engineers will need to upgrade their network or replace the module with their industrial alternative "SFP-10G-ZR-I".

ATGBICS can offer a 100% compatible solution for SFP-10G-ZR and SFP-10G-ZR-S or any legacy network transceiver by Cisco. Our portfolio also includes a range of universally coded transceivers, such as the SFP-10G-ZR-I-MSA-AT, providing an open-standard alternative with flexible purchasing options for network upgrades and replacements.

All our compatible transceivers meet the specifications of the OEM product. We adhere to all form factor Multi-Source Agreements (MSA) to ensure interoperability and interchangeability between interface modules. Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) is a multi-vendor specification that defines the form factors and interfaces of an optical transceiver. This compliance enables compatible manufacturers such as ATGBICS to provide the equivalent functionality and quality as the OEM product.

We offer a comprehensive evaluation program and full controlled BOM management post technical sign-off.
