Our 40GBase QSFP+ to 4x10G SFP+ passive direct attach breakout cable operates over passive copper with lengths of between 1-7m. The 40G DAC breakout cable connects one 40G port to up to four 10G Ethernet ports i.e.: 1 x QSFP+ (40G) one end and 4 x SFP+ (4x10G) on the other end.

It is suitable for very short distances and provides a cost-efficient way to connect hardware within close proximity racks. Of course, these solutions are constrained by distance between the hardware ports, but it can be a very straightforward, cost effective option in the right short reach environment.

With our compatibility guarantee you can be sure we only sell products that meet or exceed the vendor specification with compliance to all MSA standards and protocols including 40G InfiniBand 8x DDR, 4x QDR, 10G/40Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel. Connector A is QSFP+ MSA SFF-8436 Compliant and connector B is SFP+ MSA SFF-8431 Compliant.
