1G BiDi SFP Transceivers

1.25G SFP optical transceiver modules are designed for Gigabit Ethernet, 1G Fibre Channel and SDH STM-8 application. Our 1000Base-T Copper transceivers are designed for Fast Ethernet 10/100/1000BASE-T over Cat 5/5e twisted pair cable. Note some products are fixed at 1000mbps, others autosense 10/100/1000base. BiDi Transceivers use Bi-Directional technology which is a communication mode that processes data in both directions (send and receive) over optical fibre. Standard traditional transceiver modules use two fibres to transmit data; one for sending, and one for receiving). BiDi technology allows modules to transmit and receive data to and from the interconnected network devices via a single optical fibre. Please refer to SFP Technology Overview for more details.
