SFP28 optical transceiver modules are designed for 25G Gigabit Ethernet over multimode fibre. It is best suited to mid-range data centre applications with distances of up to 300 meters over OM3 multimode fibre or up to 400 meters using OM4 multimode fibre cable. Please refer to SFP28 Technology Overview for more details.
