OM2 Fibre Patch Cables

The OM2 Fibre Patch Cable supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications for lengths measuring up to 82 metres, but are more commonly used for 1 Gigabit Ethernet applications up to 550m, depending on the type of transceiver and wavelength. The OM2 cable has a core size of 50 microns and the diameter of the outer cladding is 125 microns. OM2 is backward compatible with OM1 which is now obsolete.

OM2 cables are orange with male to male gender connectors and are multimode. LC-LC and LC-SC duplex are our most popular OM2 cables but we offer the full range of LC-ST, SC-SC, SC-ST, ST-ST in both duplex and simplex format.
